I Arun Kumar Nelanti, and Roop Kumar Naidu,(PTA members of IX Standard), have visited the school at 7.45 am in connection with the invite made by Ms Lakshmi Ayyappan, (School incharge) during the PTA meeting held on 10/11/2018.
On our visit, we were welcomed by Ms Lakshmi Ayyappan and Ms Annapurna Madam (Examination Coordinator) and furnished all the material prepared with regard to seating arrangements and the invigilation duties.
We were surprised to see the exercise done for conducting the exams well in advance. All the statements with regard to arrangements were scheduled in an deep concern.
We observed the pattern of seating arrangements made with mixed classes giving no scope of malpractice.
We observed the number in each class is restricted to 27 students.
Ratio of 1:27 was observed for invigilation.
We further observed that certain students were allowed for appearing for examination in the sick bay with convenient posture as they were suffering with health disorder. (This made me proud to be a parent of Johnsonite by seeing the Maternal care they take on the students)
I respectfully thank Dr.Chandrashekar garu and the staff for such a caring attitude and towards the students and the interest in paving their path.
We further gone through all the examination rooms viz., AV Room, AmphiTheatre hall, and the class rooms in 1st and 2nd Floors.
We personally visited all the rooms equipped with CC Cameras monitored by Lakshmi Ayyappan madam and Rector madam regularly. (Thank You madam)
We observed pin drop silence in each and every class we went through.
My perception on the examination pattern and the procedure was very much dissimilar to the actual situation we noticed in the school (felt apologetic myself for thinking incorrectly)
After visiting each and every class in the school we have neither heard a word from the teacher nor the student. It was silent to the peaks where the recollection of data from the mind of a student is dragged automatically in a peaceful ambience.
We further moved on to the ICSE X standard examination hall arranged in 4th floor of new campus, in front of the old premises. On that day exam was not scheduled for the X students. So we were allowed to visit the Examination hall.
The premises was a full-sized hall arranged with 360 sets (chair and table labelled with name and hall ticket number). I was personally shocked for the arrangements made temporarily, where the school administration has not compromised on the peaceful ambience for the students to write the exam. (Please imagine how so many sets were brought to 4th floor even it is for temporary purpose). The School would have arranged in the existing old building as they have sufficient rooms in the old building. But they were very much concerned on the students aspect. Dr.Chandrashekar garu has taken interest and made this temporary arrangement for the students.
It was stunned to see that the floor was under construction where temporarily 110 lights and 110 fans were arranged along with 8 CC cameras of high quality and best range to cover the premises. Temporary windows and railings were prepared and fixed in the entire hall with fire extinguishers giving a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. Students can easily remind the stuff they have read throughout the year.
The hall was divided into 3 parts viz., A,B, & C. The whole premise was temporarily floored with red matting giving the indications for the students to choose their way to their predefined seat. (This style of thinking to guide the students without any difficulty in finding their seat impressed me a lot). Such type of guidance is an example for the caring attitude of the administration.
I personally and sincerely thank you Dr.Chandrashekar garu on behalf of all the parents for your concern on our children. Nowadays such interest is lacked sir. The administration of other schools relies upon the funds which they want to drag from parents and shows no interest on the well being of students. Here you and your school are unique in the entire aspects sir. Our perception of thinking that the school milks the money for no reason will automatically vanish if you give some sought of scope to all the parents in some manner to know such type of arrangements made by the school.
I sincerely bow my head being a Law graduate and practicing advocate for taking such care on my little ones in paving their future.
I have no words personally to express my thanks after visiting the school and inspecting the examination procedures.
By prolonging the notes, there is huge list to describe my observation. But I finally conclude with heartfelt thanks for giving me such a good opportunity for visiting the school in examination hours, and felt privileged for inviting me to the school. I finally request the school authorities to let the parents know, what actually the school is facing and running through for the well being of students, with such a keen arrangements. I request the school authority to please make a visual video of the ICSE Examination hall and palace it on the school website to wipe out the misunderstandings of parents and bring a huge awareness on the care taken for students well being.
Thanking you once again heart fully,
Yours sincerely
