Johnson Grammar School offer the ICSE for grades 1 to 10, ISC & IBDP for grades 11 & 12.


The academic curriculum in JGS is designed to meet the needs of young children. Childhood is a period of rapid growth. Children need to nourish their developing mental abilities. ICSE course follows the curriculum and syllabus prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
Examinations conducted by The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations are :
(1.)  Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Class X)
(2.) The Indian School Certificate (ISC - Class XII)


The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (C.I.S.C.E) was established in the year 1958 under the patronage of the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate with the assistance of the Inter State Board of Anglo- Indian Education. It is registered under Societies Registration Act No: XXI of 186.
Johnson Grammar School got affiliated to the Council in the year 1983 with the Affiliation Code: AP018.


The International Baccalaureate was founded in 1968, with an aim to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and peaceful world through inter-cultural understanding and respect. Since 1983, the IB has been recognized by the Association of Indian Universities(AIU) equivalent to +2 qualification of an Indian Board.

Johnson Grammar School, ICSE was given the authorization by the IB Organization registered in Geneva to offer the IBDP in the year 2008, after almost a year and a half of extensive preparation and orientation.
